Tempeh Satay Skewers

Serves 2 - 3

  • 1 pack Original Plant Power Tempeh
  • 2 tsp tamari
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • Satay sauce
  • 3 tbsp natural peanut butter
  • 1 1/2 tbsp tamari or soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp maple syrup
  • ½ lime, juiced 
  • 1 tsp fresh ginger
  • ½ red chilli
  • 2 – 3 tbsp water

  1. Cut the tempeh into cubes and marinate in the tamari sauce and sesame oil.
  2. To a food processor add the peanut butter, tamari, maple syrup, lime juice, ginger, chilli and blend, adding the water bit by bit until you get a smooth and runny consistency.
  3. Heat a frying pan on a medium to high heat with a drizzle of oil, then add the tempeh cubes and fry for a couple of minutes until golden. Transfer to a bowl and coat with the satay sauce.
  4. Place on skewers to serve.
